Today I had an hour before an appointment so I sat about assembling the cardboard background in the Round 2 resissue of the Meyers Manx kit.
It took some fiddling, and some Scotch tape to hold the tabs in place, but the background went together quickly and actually looked pretty good.
So the next step was to photograph the background with each of the three buildsup of the Manx kit from my display case. Each of these builds was put together around 3-4 years ago when I assembled enough parts from multiple eBay.com purchases of partially trashed kits to be able to build complete models (there's no way I would have paid the $100+ going price for unbuilt Manx kits back then).
Here's an almost entirely box stock build of the Manx Street Version, sitting on the display:

This one has the stock VW engine, and the only mods are old MPC hollow core wide oval Goodyear Bigs'n'Littles, and second set of tailamps, and one of my spray can paint fade jobs using House of Kolor Candy colors and tinted clears.

The next post will be the Manx Dune Buggy version....thanks for looking.
